We've had an amazing week out in the West. We were in Victoria for an anti-semitism summit with our friend, the Honorable Stockwell Day. It was fantastic. 250 Christian Jews, secular people out to hear a discussion on standing against anti-semitism. It's always good to work with Stockwell. Um, we love him dearly. And then we're out here today at the Alberta Prayer Breakfast in Edmonton. Great to hear from the premier and some great testimonies of hope in our nation. God is doing wonderful things. I want to talk to you today about C9. Now, this is Thursday. Tomorrow, there's supposed to be a vote. So, I don't know the outcome yet, but for the sake of editing, we had
to shoot this early. So, I just want to say this about that. And thank you to all of you that have been calling your MPs and and partnering with other ministries and organizations to get the word out on C9 about how we are concerned about its uh its erosion of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Both of those are the foundational planks in the Canadian Constitution. So we are really really concerned. However, depending no matter how it goes, I want to say this to you out of Jeremiah 23 29. Is not my word like fire and like a hammer that breaks the rock to pieces? That's the powerfulness of the word of the Lord. And regardless if the Canadian government, I really hope they don't do
anything as foolish as this, but if they put more restrictions on us preaching the word, guess what? It's not going to affect me. I'm going to still preach the word. If they put restrictions on how and where I can pray, guess what? It's not going to affect me. I'm going to pray. I'm going to be like Daniel and I'm going to open up my windows and I'm going to say, "You're telling me not to pray? I'm going to pray. You're telling me not to read the word? I'm going to read the word because it is vital. The word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword. So, regardless what happens, yes, I'm hoping none of this happens, but when I look at
places where, and I don't hope, I pray to God we never get into a place like this. You look at Iran for example, the fastest growing church on the earth. Lots of restrictions yet growing. You look at China, lots of restrictions yet growing. Afghanistan, lots of restrictions yet growing. And if those restrictions come here, I just say be strong in the Lord. Be bold and courageous for the Lord your God will go with you wherever you go. I'm Chris Bert, the director of the National House of Prayer, and we'll see you next time. Bye for now.
