Amid political uncertainty, discover your true assignment: pray for everyone from leaders to neighbors. Based on 1 Timothy 2, learn why prayer must extend beyond your closet into your spheres of influence—family, workplace, and community. As ambassadors of reconciliation, be sent to share the gospel where you live, work, and connect daily.

So Marilyn and I have been in this position at National House of Prayer for just over 5 years. We're in fact in our sixth year and it's been wonderful. We've seen great things, but we've seen a lot of political uncertainty. We've seen we've lived through two minority governments. We're in two. uh we've been to two elections and we've seen a lot of crazy political things happening even the past couple of months and so I just want to again remind you what our job is. So it's so easy for us to get into that place of of worry and fret and what if and what if but this is what our job really is and it goes back to 1 Timothy 2. That's kind of our our main focus in

our ministry. I'm going to paraphrase. Pray all kinds of prayers for everybody. Who's everybody? Well, everybody's everybody. Even for kings and those in authority and everybody in our lives that we live peaceful and godly lives. It's good. It's great to have a peaceful and to live in godliness. It's good. But it tells us even more because many times when you read that passage or hear that passage from 1 Timothy 2, many times we go to that place and live which is good and it pleases God about the peaceful and godly lifesty. But it actually tells us why [snorts] that all men and women would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. So the focus of the prayer

movement is to pray that everybody would be saved. That's the main thing. The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing is that that everybody in Canada, the whole nation would uh be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. And so it is important that we are praying and that establishes it in 1 Timothy 2. We're praying, but there also has to be ascending and preaching. And that's what's so important. This is why we encourage you to build relationships with your members of parliament, but not just your members of parliament. Build relationships wherever you are. How will anybody know unless they hear the preaching of the word? I just read this

from uh from Romans 10. I I love this passage. I mean, I love all the passages, but I'm going to read this. How then can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe on the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without somebody preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? So I'm sending you, right? I'm sending you. But you know, many times we think of being sent as something that goes uh we're going to go to Africa or we're going to go to China or we're going to the Philippines or someplace. Well, no. I'm sending you to your next door neighbor. I'm sending you to your coworker at work. I'm sending you to a

classmate. I'm sending you I'm I'm just sending you because we have four spheres of influence in our lives and I want to talk to them. The first sphere we have which we have family. I'm sending you to your family. How will they know unless how beautiful are the feet of those that bring good news announcing peace? That's Romans 10. So our spheres are within our family, within our workplace, within our neighborhood and I like to say in our local church. So those are the places that we are walking in and living in and our metron which we are being sent. Those are the spheres where we have authority to pray and to speak into and to speak life into. So, I want to

encourage you today, just get out of the closet. Yeah, it's wonderful that we're in the prayer closet. I love that. In the last few visits, videos have been talking about get in the secret place. Stay in the secret place. Look at gaze upon the beauty of the Lord. It's that. But it's also that we need to come out into the into our spheres of authority where we can bring the gospel of peace, where we can bring reconciliation between your neighbors and God, between your co-workers and God. We are ambassadors of reconciliation, and we are the people that bring that. So, I want to encourage you again, don't be afraid, don't be ashamed. Share the stories of what God is doing in your

life. They're powerful stories. Share them with your neighbors, your co-workers, your family, everybody. I'm Chris Bberg, the director of the National House of Prayer, and we'll see you next time. Bye for now.
