A while ago, I was on a prayer call on our Tuesday morning and uh my friend, one of our friends on the call, I actually started to pray in terms of bold humility. I thought that was a really interesting choice choice of words, bold humility, because almost like an oxymoron. It's like humility on steroids, right? something that's so in yourrface. You know, the scripture says this um it says uh that the Lord resists the proud and he embraces the humble. Right? So our job is to become irresistible. Right? Irresistible. That's what we want to be. Irresistible to God because and that comes through this bold humility. not wanting to always be the center of attention, but also just to take a lowly
uh a much meaker state, a meager presence. And in this bold humility, I find it's been really really um very pivotal in this time, especially with all the swirling noise and the chaos and the and the elbows up and uh and it's really not about elbows. It's about knees. It's not about our elbows being up, but our knees being down. Being in that place of humbling ourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift us up in due time. So, I want to talk to you today about Romans 15. There's two passages in Romans 15 that I really love. First off is Romans 15:5, and it talks about the God of endurance and encouragement. It says when you have the God of endurance and encouragement operating in
your life, it it it interacts in your relational in your relationships and it causes harmony. So, let me just read this here. I I love this this passage here and I I think I've read it before. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another. Isn't that something when we have that be that be those people that are encouraging yet dependable, right? God wants us to because he is encouraging and he is the dependable. We can have that with us. We can partake in that and we can be dispensers of that to the point that it'll affect our relationships and together with one voice, we can glorify the God and father of Jesus Christ. That's what it says.
But there's more in this chapter and another apostolic prayer where it says, "May the God of hope down 15 down to verse 13." Let me just go down here and just find it here. Uh, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. So we have this endurance, this encouragement and encouragement and then we see may the God of hope fill us with all hope and joy and peace which causes uh to flow out to those around us. And you find that where do you find this? You find this in the secret place. You find it when you're waiting and meditating on the Lord. When you're gazing upon the
beauty of the Lord, you become infused with encouragement, endurance, dispensers of hope, joy, and peace. So I want to encourage you, don't rush out of your secret place. Stay in the secret place. Enjoy the presence of the Lord. Make sure that's a part of your daily regiment with the father because it affects your relationships so that we can live in harmony with one another and glorify the god and father of our g lord Jesus Christ. I'm Chris Byberg, the director of the National House of Prayer and we will see you next time. Bye for now.
