hey everybody it's Chris spyberg the director of the national House of Prayer coming to you from Ottawa well we're back from uh the West again so good to be home um we're coming into March break here in Ottawa Ottawa which is I can't believe how quickly here is flying by and so looking forward to many of you I'm sure some of you'll be looking for some for for a little break with your kids and maybe some of you will be heading south to someplace warm um we won't we're going to stay here but might head to Toronto go see the grandkids anyway so we're coming up to Easter very shortly and you know there there are so many things that are happening I know I know it almost seems

like we've been you know for the for the three years of covet we were like Relentless in with concerns and and we were stressed out and we didn't like certain things and there were certain policies flowing out of the the house of commands and it was really really just not in a lot of spaces a lot of great not a lot of great spaces that with with our young people that are in the um you know that are that are the most stressed most anxious most uh worried generation and and you know I see this I see this all the time and I hear about this speaking with parents everywhere and you know we can really get under a lot of stuff we can get things to get under what we perceive as a direction of

the country and certain policies coming through and and we can get underneath them and they can become quite heavy and I just wanted to just tell you that that you're not supposed to be under these things listen we live here in Ottawa we get to go to the House of Commons on a regular basis we listen firsthand what's going on in the house and uh as well as many of you who are following on CPAC in question period and all those things and if you're like prior to my my role here as the Director at uh at enhoff we we were involved a lot in politics and policy and and we're listening all the time but you know you're not supposed to be under those things I want to encourage you because

you don't trust I love what Psalm 20 says some trust in chariots some in horses I'm going to paraphrase some in government some in policies some in whatever you're trusting in don't trust in those things but we will remember we will trust in the name of the Lord that's where our trust is going to be my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness that's from My Hope and my trust is my trust isn't in these other things yes it's important for us to pray First Timothy 2 tells us to pray for everybody government all those in Authority yes and we're doing that but don't get under things stay on top of it remember you are seated with Christ in Heavenly places

and you can see from his perspective you can be be that intercessor alongside of the Lord Jesus at the right hand of the father and you can pray what he's praying and you can see what he's praying so ask the Lord to give you eyes to see that's what you'll notice many times when I'm praying I say Lord give me eyes to see give me ears to hear it's because I want to pray what he wants to pray I want to say what he wants to say that's the posture so don't freak out don't be freaked out all the time and many times I get freaked out you know people said people say to me oh Chris you're so calm and then they come and uh but and I get freaked out too but don't get under it

some trust in chariots summon horses some in politicians some in governments don't trust there that's where our trust lies our tribes our trust lies with the Lord all right he has a hope and a future Lord you know there are so many prophetic words over Canada and this is a great place and I know that the love the lord loves the people here he loves the people of Canada I said let's pray father we thank you for this nation again we thank you for your goodness and your mercy which you so lavishly pour out on us even when we don't deserve it even when legislation is just abysmal God you're so merciful to us and we so so grateful for that and we don't take that for granted

but father we just pray that you would give us eyes to see what you're doing ears to hear what you're saying Lord because we want to partner with you we want to do what you're doing and we want to say what you're saying in Jesus name amen well I'm Chris beiberg the director of the national House of Prayer and we will see you next time bye for now
