of his presence um just want to get you to turn to Psalm 24 with us uh GNA look at this for a minute tonight and and then worship you know spend some time singing out of this passage as well um just going to read the first four verses the Earth is the Lord's and all its fullness the world and and those who dwell therein he has founded it upon the Seas and established it upon the waters who may Ascend into the hill of the Lord or who may stand in his holy place he who has Clean Hands and a pure heart and who has not lifted up his soul to an idol or sworn deceitfully and uh just uh yeah just wanted to spend some time tonight worshiping and and setting our minds on the greatness of

who he is and you know my heart is that in my own life and to see in the church just more of an awe and wonder and uh the fear of the Lord growing again just to uh just to see him as he is we know that he loves us he welcomes us he Embraces us and that's entirely true um we also want to know I love how John the Apostle the Beloved Apostle the one who laid his head on jesus' breast at at the Last Supper the disciple whom Jesus loved when John saw Jesus uh in on the island of Patmos when he when you know he was given the Book of Revelation when he's he had that whole encounter when he saw Jesus he fell down on his face as though he was dead like this one who knew Jesus so

intimately also had this incredible Encounter of seeing Jesus in his Holiness and in such a way that you know that that completely overwhelmed and terrified John and and there's something of the fear of the Lord that's clean Psalms says the fear of the Lord is clean and uh it's it's a it's a pure beautiful thing and it's something I want to see more of in my own life and uh so just we want to look at these couple passages here tonight just the first two verses just dwelling on the Lord is the creator of Heaven and Earth and I think of how he when he appeared to job and uh and you know other passages in Isaiah when Isaiah is seeing God like this this uh this thing of you know God showed up to

job and points out all these different amazing marvels of creation and he's like where were you when I did all this where were you when I put this together where were you when I spoke this into existence and uh just to set our minds on that that God is you know the Alpha and the Omega the begin beginning and the end he's always been there and he created everything we see and live in and experience he created it all without the counsel of any other one he is so much greater than us and just to fill our minds with that where was I when he separated land from water and spoke light into being and all these things where was I you know he his wisdom his power his greatness is so much greater

than my own and that's that's a good thing to to be aware of it's not that doesn't put me down in any way you know it's not that's not something we need to be afraid of it's it's something to to lay hold of and grasp and and to dwell on and think on that our God is that God and uh verse three and four who may Ascend into the hill of the Lord or stand in his holy place he has Clean Hands and a pure heart and uh it's not lifted a soul to an idol and I've been studying recently uh the Tabernacle of Moses and the different uh the different pieces of furniture associated with it and the whole process of the priest going into to minister and uh in the in the courtyard of the Tabernacle they

when you first came into the Tabernacle there was the the big Brazen altar there where all the sacrifices were offered for sin which you know we know that that's not required anymore Jesus by one sacrifice has covered our sin once for all and beyond that was this bronze wash basin this bronze labor and then from there there was the the tent of meeting the actual Tabernacle where only the priests could go inside and there's different thing ways they ministered to the Lord in there and then beyond that compartment was the holy of holies where the Ark of the Covenant was was and I was struck by this uh this one mention in Exodus 30 of how Aaron and his sons the first

priests they had to wash at that wash basin before going into the the Tabernacle the tent of meeting or before offering sacrifices on that on that bronze Altar and so whether they were going in to minister before the Lord or whether they were they were going in the courtyard to minister before and to mediate between God and man by offering those sacrifices they had to continually wash their hands and feet they they every time they had to wash their hands and feet before before ministering and it it brought me you know it made me think of Jesus at the Last Supper when he was washing the disciples feet and if you remember he he comes to Peter to wash his feet and

Peter goes no no no no way like I won't stand for this you're my you're my Lord You're My my teacher you don't wash my feet I should be washing yours serving you and and Jesus says to him unless I wash you you have no part of me and then it's funny because Peter goes all in and he says okay then wash all of me wash my head and everything just and and Jesus is like I love you Peter calm down right but he he says this thing um paraphrasing here if You' if you've been completely washed then you don't need to wash your whole self again but you need to wash your feet and he says and you are clean and it's it's this thing of you know we look at Hebrews and it it

mentions this as well you know the the sacrifice of Jesus in our place which we again we'll remember tonight at the end of our worship time it washed us once and for all you know uh Hebrew says he has perfected forever those who are being saved so there's this this dual thing of I've been perfected forever and yet I'm still being saved I'm my sins are washed clean they're gone forever I don't need to offer sacrifices on that bronze altar but I still need to wash my feet I still need to wash my hands there's still a thing of we get defiled from walking through this life and we need to rinse that away it doesn't mean that uh it doesn't mean that there's something

that's outdone the sacrifice of Jesus that he can't cover my sins are covered but I still need to be washed I still need to be cleaned and uh you know the New Testament talks about that like pet uh Paul saying we need to be washed say Jesus washes us with the water of the word you know we and there's there's other passages praying in the spirit and other things that are that have this washing effect on us and uh just this reminder that yes my sins are forgiven but I still want to be mindful to when I approach him to address the the the defilement the dirt that I pick up in my day-to-day life just walking through this world and uh and being aware of that and and just

making sure I'm being cleaned as I as I enter in and uh you know Jesus was calling that to mind when he was washing those disciples feet they were he undoubtedly painted a picture to them of the of the priests who had to wash their hands and feet before before they could Minister and he's saying in the same way just keep keep washing yourself keep keep coming back keep keep washing keep getting cleaned up um and it's that process of sanctification in our lives right and uh I just want to just remember that just this this posture of humility and not presumption as we as we Ascend the hill of the Lord and and seek to stand in his holy place I just want to remember that

and just allow the Holy Spirit to wash us again and uh you know he who has Clean Hands and a pure heart who's not lifted up his soul to an idol or sworn deceitfully just this thing of we want to come and set our hearts not before an idol we're not chasing another God or another Another Love tonight but we're we want to bring our hearts before him and uh so we just W to we just want to look at those couple things tonight but just to again from my own heart I want to remember his Holiness and I want to be in awe of that I don't want to take that for granted um the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom I live with wisdom when I live and walk in the fear of the

Lord and uh it's not to it's not to put God far away but it's to carry that in in concert with he draws Us near and he's a holy God and I want to carry both of those I want to I want the uh as one old Matt reban song said I want the friendship and the fear of knowing him I want I want my heart to be moved in both ways so that's just kind of the posture we want to take as we as we come tonight so father we thank you for who you are we thank you that you are holy I thank you that you're Eternal you're from Everlasting to Everlasting your omniscience your omnipotence your omnipresence Lord we thank you for who you are we thank you that there is no one like

you and we thank you again for making a way for us to come back to you even though you put man in a perfect place with unbroken communion with you and we messed it up Lord thank you that you made a way to bring us back and Lord we just ask tonight would you give us the gift of the spirit of wisdom and Revelation Holy Spirit would you Open the Eyes of our understanding to see Jesus the express image of the father to see him as he is Lord would you reveal Jesus the Revelation one Jesus eyes like a flame of fire his appearance just completely shining in brightness Lord the same thing that that that brought the clean fear of the Lord to John would you bring it to our hearts Jesus we want to know

you as you are I don't want to settle for who I imagine you to be Jesus I want to know you for who you are so Holy Spirit just come wisdom and Revelation come would you make Jesus great in our eyes tonight the eyes of our understanding and Lord we even invite that we would see you with our physical eyes Lord we want to know you we want to see you as you are so that we can worship you rightly so Holy Spirit Come would you wash us tonight anything that any defilement we've picked up Lord we lay it at your feet we confess that we repent Lord we ask make us clean you said the pure in heart will see you Lord we ask Give Us Clean Hands and pure hearts tonight that we can see you in Jesus [Music]

name here we are Lord humbly we we love your presence want to be where you are we love your presence want to be with you [Music] blessed is the one you cause to approach you blessed are the ones who have found the New and Living Way thank you Lord for making it for us to draw oh we recognize your your grace your blessing oh we come with Thanksgiving I want to see you Lord as you truly are wash washers we want to see you Lord as you truly are lay down all reservations set aside all hesitation we draw near to you and you draw near to us blessed is the one you choose to draw close to you the one you draw close [Music] we take you at your word that you draw near when we come

aside when we fix our eyes on you so could so so so we prepared a place for you Lord [Music] so come [Applause] [Music] so so so [Music] we come to your Mountain the hill of the lord we would have send and jour journey into your holy place to feast in your presence and bring our devotions to you God we come as a kingom of of your priest we're climbing up the mountain of the Lord towards your holy place and every step is [Music] praise encountering the glory of your name the Throne of Holiness the wonders of Your Grace we enter your Sanctuary to minister at your holy Throne where thousands of angels Joy fing sing again we enter your sanctuary we enter your Sanctuary to minister at your holy

Throne where thousands of angels joyfully sing Holy we're climbing up the mountain of of the Lord towards your holy place and every step is praise encountering the glory of your name your throne of Holiness the wonders of your [Laughter] grace oh come come let us worship come let us recognize what a Sac thing we do come let us bow down God as we bring our hearts let them please the heart of you come come let us worship come let us Rec what a Sac thing we do come let us bow down God as we bring our hearts let them please the heart of you oh we let lay our hearts before you we bring our offerings to you Lord let them please your heart please your heart oh come come let us worship come let us

the maker of all things the Earth is Yours oh he fashion this world created everything who is like you who is there like you that spoke the world into being who can match the power of Who You [Music] Are for by you and through you and for you are all things made that were made who was your helper who did you need to look to oh great is the Lord PR the to be [Music] praised and by all things they by him they oby [Music] oh to you and through you and for you are all things through you and to you and for you are all things you're the center of it all [Music] you sit in thred upon the Earth and upon the heavens who is like you are oh tremble before the Creator [Music] all powerful all knowing

can who can Ascend to where you are oh holy God who can come up to there is none [Music] rightous no one who could presume to stand Before You You Are Holy You Are [Music] Holy there is UN rightous there is UN holy who can who can come for you there is none rightous there is none holy who can who can you there is n rightous there is none holy who can who can approach you oh God [Music] oh you've made the [Music] way you made the way by the sprinkling of your blood [Music] you've washed us clean you've covered Us by no very blood you opened up the ve you made a New and Living Way so we could come blessed is the one you cause to draw near to you blessed is the one for whom you've made a way

sins Jesus we just thank you again for your body that was laid down for us and that we have become your body Lord we thank you for the bread we thank you for your body it's from Revelation 1 grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come from the seven spirits before his throne and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness the firstborn from the dead and the ruler over the kings of the earth to him who loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood and has made us Kings and Priests to his God and Father to him be glory and Dominion forever and ever amen Jesus we take this cup and we thank you for your blood that you you washed us with that you you washed our sins

away and made us clean before God so that we could be Kings and Priests to God that we could enter the holy place that we could come and stand in the presence of the creator of the earth Jesus thank you for your blood thank you for every benefit of this Blood to us Lord we ask would we know the benefits of this Covenant would we know the benefits of being made clean by you and would you cause us to boldly approach your throne of grace in every season that we would know you and find Mercy and help in time of need Jesus thank you again for your blood yeah we thank you for joining with us tonight and we just encourage you and invite you to go on that journey of seeking to walk

with Clean Hands and a pure heart Washed by the Water of the word Washed by communion with the holy spirit that we could enter his presence boldly and rightly thanks for joining us bless you and uh join in again Saturday night 6 o'clock
