Equipping a Nation to Pray
The purpose of Canopy Of Prayer is to establish prayer teams in all 338 federal electoral ridings to pray for Canada and its leaders. We equip people to pray for the church, their communities, and the constituencies of all levels of government where they live.
In conjunction with Canopy of Prayer, we have launched the Canopy Prayer School as a means of supporting and training those involved with our Canopy of Prayer teams.
The course material in Canopy Prayer School is based on what Scripture teaches us to pray for and how it teaches us to pray. These teachings are available for free for everyone who is a part of the Canopy. We provide two sessions annually, in the spring and fall.

As citizens of God’s Kingdom, we are called to pray for the leaders of our earthly nations—not to advance political agendas, but to see righteousness, justice, and peace flourish. Scripture calls us to intercede for those in authority so that we may live in peace and godliness (1 Tim. 2:1–2). When we pray for government, we align ourselves with God’s purposes, bring Kingdom influence to earthly systems, and demonstrate our allegiance to a higher King.
