I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Since 2005 National House of Prayer has been a national voice advocating for prayer for our government and elected representatives.

Building a Canopy of Prayer across Canada

For many years, National House of Prayer emphasized calling Canadians to Ottawa to pray for our government. Over the past few years, our focus has shifted to building prayer networks in all 343 electoral ridings across the country. National House of Prayer disciples the nation in prayer through our Canopy Prayer School, development of prayer resources, and personal engagement on Parliament Hill.
